Figure Drawing

Posted by WillTerrell On July - 14 - 2009

I got to hang out at the figure drawing group picnic this weekend. It was good brisket and brownies, and great company. We had our model Casey pose for us outside for a change. Clothed of course, don’t want to get the neighbors talking. It was fun. I always rush when I do figure drawing for some reason. I guess because I haven’t been in the routine of it for so long that I don’t feel comfortable like I used to. So I did this quick gray wash sketch and hung out the rest of the time. I think it turned out alright.

Fortress Tree

Posted by WillTerrell On June - 16 - 2009

My friend from Denmark brought copies of one of his favorite European comics “Valhala” to the sketch night on Saturday. The series looks amazing… just wish I spoke Scandinavian. The artwork was gorgeous and I could have drawn from it all night. I picked this fortress tree to sketch out. My tablet is busted so I used the mouse to add a little bit of tone to the ink drawing. I’d like to do more with it.

Sketch Card Trading night – Lubbock Sketch Club

Posted by WillTerrell On February - 7 - 2009

This is a short video from the other night.  It was the Artist Trading card sketch night at Varsity book store.  The Lubbock Sketch Club showed up to trade artist cards with the public.  Mostly it was just an excuse to hangout with each other and trade cards with each other.  Lol.  It was fun though.
