Dexter Dweeble

dweeble

This gentleman’s name is Dexter Dweeble.  He is a mild mannered fellow, who has an unnatural affinity for Liverworst sammiches.

I don’t know who he is exactly, but he looks familiar.  At first he was fun to draw, then it started creeping me out a little, so I had to stop.  I hate it when drawings do that to me.

Dead@17 Sketch cards

I was asked a while back to do some sketch cards for the new Dead@17 card set.  This is my first time doing sketch cards, so it was fun and interesting.  I’d like to do some more down the road.

Most of the cards I did were done like these with watercolor, pen and ink, white out and a little airbrush.

Star Wars Storm trooper

Posted by admin On February - 18 - 2010

I love Star Wars.  I need to do more Star Wars art.  Its so much fun.  Except when your airbrush is acting up and you end up breathing in too much atomized paint.  *Coff* *cof*

This was a quick illustration, using pen/ink, prisma markers, airbrush and acrylic paints.  About 10″x10″.   Its from a stormtrooper design I saw in a toy magazine.  Coruscant trooper, or something like that.  Pretty cool.

Redneck gamers

You can thank my wonderful fiance’ for this lovely image.  After her regaling me of an unfortunate photo she’d run across of a slovenly gamer in his natural state, I could not help but try to transcribe the somewhat disturbing visual of his v-shaped butt-cleavage and bulging skin-tight clothing .   This is the result. Enjoy.

Another warm-up sketch, another warrior woman.  Guess I got a theme going.  I like how she turned out.

Warrior Woman

Posted by admin On February - 16 - 2010

I have a lot of work on my plate these days.  So of course there’s plenty of time to draw random warrior women to avoid the deadlines.  Just kidding.  This was a quick warm-up sketch from earlier tonight.  Its been a long time since I used French gray prizma markers, and I forgot how nice they are for doing figure sketches.  I like how this one turned out.  The pen/ink turned out well too.

By the way, this sketch is available to buy for anyone that’s interested. Just click the “buy now” button below.

Rusty Robot

My lovely fiance’ bought me a new fancy quill pen for Valentines day gift.  We sat around sketching tonight with it.  I forgot how nice it is to ink with a pen on bristol board.  I always forget how important good paper is to a drawing.

This drawing is my idea for an all purpose pesky adorable kitten disposal robot.  I need one right now for the adorable kitten that comes to my house every day and makes me feed it.  Pshcaw!

Singles Awareness day – 2010

Posted by admin On February - 2 - 2010

Singles Awareness Day is coming up in a couple weeks.  I did the poster for the S.A.D. party last year too.  They’re fun to do.   Hopefully I can do more in the years to come.
