The Lubbock Comic Book Expo is an event I’ve helped organize with the Lubbock Sketch Club, Star Books and Comics, Metropolis radio show KTXT, FreeBirds World Burrito and the Science Spectrum of Lubbock.
The mission of the expo is to build and cultivate a community of comic book artists by educating the general public about comic books, why comics are cool, how they’re created, and by connecting the public with this growing west Texas comic book creators’ community and give them the opportunity to show their work to the public.
This is our first year. And as far as I know, there has never been an exclusive comic book convention here, and definitely never been a small press comics show. So wont’ you save the date, and come out to support us. If you are a comic book artist, and would like to get an artist/creators table, please email me at email@example.com. Tables are $25 before April 15th and $40 after that.
