Digital Coloring Class

Posted by WillTerrell On February - 27 - 2007

I am teaching at Digital coloring/Digital Illustration workshop at the Garden & Arts Center Tuesday (March 6th) from 6 – 9pm. The workshop is $50 per person. If you are interested please pre-register soon. Call (806)767-3724 or go by the Garden and Arts Center at 46th and University ave.

In this workshop I will show you how to scan and set up lineart to be colored in photoshop. I will demonstrate the coloring process, along with all the tools and short-cuts I use to get professional results.

I will also show how to do a digital painting, how to set up your brushes, textures and pallete to get quality painterly effects.

Hand-outs, brush, texture and color pallete resources will be provided.

If you have little to no experience with photoshop, this class will give you everything you need to get started.

Silver Surfer

Posted by WillTerrell On February - 16 - 2007

I ordered a Kuretake Brush pen online and got it in the mail a couple days ago. Its pretty nice, you can get some insane detail with it. It didnt occur to me till I started working with the pen just how long its been since I’ve inked any thing. I’ve been using regular pens and brushmarkers for so long that I’d forgotten just how much more control you get with the right tools. And just how much I have to learn, lol. Anyways… I did this sketch last night with it. It turned out alright I guess. Never drawn Silver surfer before. I intend to do a lot more.

Spiderman poses

Posted by WillTerrell On February - 12 - 2007

I wanted to see if I could create interesting Spiderman poses using different letters of the alphabet. It was a fun and challenging exercise, that I recommend every artist try and do. Most of these were done during my lunch breaks this past week.

Feel Better Grandma

Posted by WillTerrell On February - 4 - 2007

My grandma tripped on a step this morning and bumped her head on the ground. I did this quick sketch to make her feel better. She smiled so big. Totally worth it.
